1-21-12 Still fighting with this 1999 Blazer to get the engine out.... (Page 2)
This 1999 Blazer has been one nightmare after another..... sure is nothing like the first generation
S-10 truck / blazer...... whomever designed this setup should have their ass removed!
By far, my 1986 Blazer, 1989 s10 shortbed, and 1991 GMC Sonoma extended cab are my favorite...
I could do an engine swap, v6 or v8 from start to finish in 2 days!
As of 1-21-12 I finally have all the transmission bolts and other stupidly placed bolts removed,
and the engine and transmission are corroded together on the alignment pins.... oh wonderfull....

Found out why I couldn't get the engine out after all the bolts were removed from transmission, etc.....
--- the alignment pins were IN THERE! Stuck doesn't even explain the scenario! WOW!
After about 3 hrs of fiddling with it and using metal wedges and the airhammer to drive them in...
the engine finaly separated from the transmission and was hanging on the chainfall!
