My new "used" CH Model 85" Yak 54 repair/ horizontal stabilizer scratch build... Construction started somewhere between 9-1-10 to 10-15-10
(long process & many hours) I started my drawings somewhere around 8-2-10.....
This plane was given to me by a close freind around October 10, 2009.......finally got around to putting it together
in September of 2010.................
It needed landing gear area tore out, since it was broken, and needed rebuilt/redesigned from scratch.....
I didn't have any horizontal stabs for it, so I had to design on paper (many drawings) and then figure out
how to go about building these things, as I've never done a project like this before....
I have 3 complete wing sets, 2 landing gears, 3 cowls w/ louvers that go to this plane as well (pics on page 2 towards bottom)
The fruits of my labor were great! -- time well spent overthinking and lots of patience paid off!
This plane flies awesome ... I've had an RCGF 50cc on it first, and it was a vertical rocket out of a hover,
and I since changed to an RCGF 62cc, since the plane was a little tail heavy... I used functional weight to gain the
right ballance that I wanted, since I had the engine here allready....

These next two pictures are all I had to go off of to design my "homebuilt" replacement rear stabilizers for this yak...
(These pics were shot by Karen when the previous owner was flying it roughly about 6 months for the plane pancaked
out and got sat on the shelf, then I acquired it)
