7-29-12 Nelly's RCGF 50cc "b" engine crankshaft broke in flight...
Man, this stinks... gotta get ahold of a whole new crankshaft / connecting rod assembly....
being RCGF, and that SouthEast R/C engines is no longer around..... who stocks / carries them?
I'm sending out a couple inquiries, and waiting for responses at the moment... (7-31-12 ---- 7:29am)
Now, on the good side, they are fairly easy to put in, since I have the necessary tools to work on these..
8-2-12 Wooohooooo!!!!! --- I've got a new crankshaft on the way!!!!!!!!
After being shot down at 3 other places, I finally was referred to "BPHobbies" by "South West Aerovista" Thanks SW Aerovista - "Joe"!!!!!
Thank you for your business!

For Those that are interested to know.... the propeller 4 bolt drilling jig makes a really nice prop
hub puller.... and it uses the 4 prop bolts and one extra prop bolt to make it function.... ;-)

Yesterday after my 3rd flight with Nelly's Edge.... I noticed a little play
in the tips of the prop, making me think that the prop hub of the RCGF 50cc "b"
was loose..... (just figured I'd check it out today, and see what was going on.)
What I found was... the the prop hub is in fact tight, and perfect..... so I
tore deeper inside the engine....... well, actually the whole engine
is in pieces again.... lol....
The issue here now is play in the rear crankshaft seat for the rear crank
bearing.... hmmm... could this little bit of play been there when
Nelly's crankshaft broke before? Of course, I couldn't feel the play since
the crank was broke before I tore apart and put the new crank in....
After fixing....with a freshly pressed in bearing, and tight engine, after the crank
replacement... the bearings weren't really seated in yet, and now after
running the engine.... the play and all the slop shows up.....
