Problems with PowerHD 1501mg servos...
Problems have been showing up with some of my powerHD 1501mg servos here...
The most common trouble is, the servo will start jittering or hesitating and
slamming to one direction without warning and then stop responding all together....
The second common problem is the center gear train pin hole in the top case....
the top case is apparently very soft plastic and the gear pin is pushing the
plastic over to the side just from normal torque on the gear train.....
This in turn creates a lot of slop that appears to be in the gears themselves, but it's not...
it also creates a bad flutter scenario on the control surfaces of the aircraft....
Below are the 4 most recent 1501mg failures...... I've had 7 out of 23 of these servos
fail... 3 right out of the box- (jitter & locking up),
and another 3 that have pin hole wear have been over about 15 or so flights on the plane...
and the last 1 was a full throw lockup on the elevator of my daughters plane....

I had a servo go up in smoke... and then decided to take some pics of
that servo plus another two servos that failed....
